I read this
morning that the FCC launched it’s national Do-Not-Call registry to
stop phone spam. yay! And now it’s been /.’ed.
If you can get through, you can register
at donotcall.gov.. looks like it’s up, but loads very slowly.
I’ve heard that the reason companies do telemarketing is that enough people
respond favorably that it’s worth it to just call everyone and annoy the rest of the people. Hopefully this list will let them know exactly who they’re pissing off so they can stop calling us 🙂
